I took this at 4am in PA. The highway was shut down for a few hours. I was driving home from MA to NC. I bypassed the road block and went on up like I was a reporter or something. Everyone believed me and didnt care that I was there as long as I stayed out of the way. I wish I had a tripod because I took around 50 pictures but its hard to take crisp night shots with the camera in your lap and firefighters running around you. This was one of my favorites. I captured a moment when this one firefighter took off his helmet because he needed a rest. The backlit smoke adds to the drama. Doesnt come close to what it was like to be there though. Such an oppertunity!
